To Those Who Are Interested in Taking This Class

As many of my classmates said, this class was very hard. This might be the hardest university class I have ever taken. However, this class was very good for improving English writing skills.

In this class, I worked on many assignments. Sometimes I couldn’t come up with the idea for the assignment topic and it took a long time to finish. The teacher spent a lot of time giving me some helpful advice on my assignments. I revised each assignment many times. Thanks to my hard work and the great help of the teacher, my English writing skills have improved.

If you are interested in taking this class, you should keep in mind that this class requires hard work, but I think it is surely worth it.

Teacher’s Qualifications (5 Paragraph Essay)

In order to make learning better, we will need a good teacher. A good teacher needs three essential traits: being knowledgeable, flexible and humane.

First of all, teachers should have learned the subject well enough to explain and effective ways of learning it, let alone ways of teaching. Needless to say, this is the most important thing. Also, they should always study new skills and methods to help the novice learners to understand the subject. This will make their lessons more attractive.

In addition, teachers should respond flexibly to such learners’ needs to improve their own skills as much as possible. Their academic goals are different from each other. Teachers also should keep in mind that there are many learners of different academic achievements. They should sometimes change the way of teaching to help learners understand the subject clearly.

Lastly, teachers should be friendly with learners. For example, teachers will sometimes see some learners who may not understand what the teachers say. They should cope with the problem positively with the learners. Moreover, they should give the learners some helpful advice if the learners need.

The world is changing day by day. It means something that is new or okay may be too old or not okay in the near future. Therefore, I think, teachers should have those three qualities.

Differences between Tablet Devices and Laptop Computers (6)

Both tablet devices and laptop computer are kind of personal computers, but they are different from each other in some respects. First of all, tablet devices have touchscreens but laptop computers do not. This is the most apparent difference. When we use a tablet device, we don’t use a track pad, mouse, or keyboard in most cases. Also, they have different user interfaces. Tablets adopt simplified and user-friendly one. Laptops have a more complicated user interface, which means laptops can perform more complicated tasks than tablets. In addition, most tablet devices are cheaper than laptops. Some new tablet devices cost less than 20 thousand yen. I think we have to spend at least 30 or 40 thousand yen to buy a new laptop.

Similarities between Tablet Devices and Laptop Computers (6)

Tablet devices and laptop computers has many similarities. Both tablet devices and laptop computers are kind of personal computers. They can perform a lot of similar tasks such as browsing websites, sending e-mail messages and writing papers. In addition, unlike desktop computers, both tablet devices and laptop computers are portable. They are so thin and light that we can put one into a bag. Moreover, in terms of input device, interestingly, some tablet devices provide an option to use a mouse or a keyboard. Similarly, some laptop computers have touchscreens. Therefore, considering these three points, tablet device and laptop computers can be similar devices. In the near future, it would be more difficult to distinguish those two.

What would 2020 be like? (5)

It would be 2020 when the Olympic Games will be held in Tokyo, Japan. Speaking of 2020, I’m not sure what I would be doing then. To be honest, it is nearly impossible for me to imagine, what I would do seven years later. I wish I would be teaching English in a high school, but I wonder if it will come true. Nowadays, I study law and wish to be an English teacher or a linguist, but I did never expect these carrier goals seven years ago, when I was a junior high school student. I would be doing something which I cannot imagine at this moment.

Society, technology, environment, everything changes as the time goes. And these changes also make predicting what will happen in the future more difficult. One of the simplest examples is the rapid development of information technology, known as IT or ICT. Did you ever believe that in 2013 almost everybody in Japan would be using a touch screen cell phone seven years ago? Did you imagine cell phones would enable us to communicate much more easily with people around the world day and night? I guess not.

Therefore, it is quite hard and not realistic thinking about what I will be doing in several years later. Something exciting that I can never imagine of now will happen in 2020. Needless to say, I cannot imagine what the Olympic Games in Tokyo would be like, either!
